PATHWAY PAVING | Jefferson Undercrossing in La Quinta

JANUARY 23-24 & 28-29, 2025 | 7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.

The Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG) is nearing completion of CV Link and construction crews will be paving the concrete pathway along the top of the Whitewater River Stormwater Channel levee on both sides of the Jefferson Street bridge.

CV Link is a 40-plus mile pathway that is being built across the Coachella Valley to provide a safe route to walk, run, bike or use low-speed electric vehicles, such as golf carts. CV Link is expected to provide significant environmental, public health, and economic benefits to generations of current and future residents and visitors to our valley.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Noise & Vibrations – Residents and businesses near the channel may experience periodicconstruction related noise or vibrations. Crews will be paving during the day and saw cuttingin the afternoon/early evening. Construction activities such as soil compacting, excavations, moving heavy machinery, etc., can cause ground borne vibrations that can physically be felt by neighboring properties.

Due to the dynamic nature of construction, note that all dates and times are subject to change due to unforeseen operational factors or inclement weather.

PATHWAY PAVING & SAW CUTTING ALONG THE WHITEWATER RIVER IN INDIO

Nighttime Work | July 8-10 | 11:00 p.m. – Noon

Construction crews will be paving the CV Link concrete pathway along the top of the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel levee.

Loud Noise – Crews will be paving during the night due to extreme heat during the day. Night paving will include lights and backup alarms on equipment. Saw cutting will begin in the early morning following each night of paving at approximately 7:00 a.m. beginning on July 9th.

The Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG) is building the next segment of CV Link in the City of Indio. Crews will be saw cutting and placing concrete for the pathway along the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel levee. There will be traffic control with flagging on Fred Waring Drive, Jackson St., and Golf Center Parkway near the levee. Please reduce speed as truck traffic will be heavy into and out of the project site. Plan ahead for delays or use alternate routes. Businesses and residents near the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel may experience construction related vibrations and noise that will include some short-term disturbances throughout the late night/early morning. Crews will be grading and compacting soil for the pathway along the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel levee on September 19-20, 2022.
